A New Wastewater Treatment Plant Will Put Ontario at Risk
A wastewater plant in Ontario isn’t necessary due to open capacity in the city of Mansfield. The plant would also be …
Harmful to Our Households
A wastewater treatment plant in the middle of our residential and small business area will destroy our property values and our quality of life. The plant will be an eyesore that releases unpleasant smells and creates more truck traffic.
Harmful to Our Wildlife
The addition of a wastewater plant in Ontario will disturb our community’s wild turkeys, deer and geese that call the area of the proposed plant home. There will also be other environmental factors that require more thorough study.
Beneficial Somewhere Else
The proposed build site is prone to flooding, which could cause plant overflows. Rather than risk so much destruction, the plant would be a better fit elsewhere, such as on Home Road across from the fairgrounds where there are no residents or businesses, or at the old GM plant.
